Motorist Injured in Hazelettville Road Crash

1 Injured in Dover Car Crash

Dover, Delaware (August 23, 2017) –  At least one person was hurt in a car crash on Hazelettville Road on Sunday.

The crash happened on August 22, in the westbound lanes of the highway.

Dover firefighters responding to the call found a pickup truck under a tractor-trailer. Paramedics had to lift the trailer to extricate the driver of the pickup truck.

The driver sustained injuries and was airlifted to Christiana Medical Center in Newark in unknown condition.

Information on the number of vehicles involved in the crash and the fate of the occupants of the truck-trailer is not yet available.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
