One Female Sustains Injuries in Newark Crash at Library Avenue and E. Delaware
Newark, Delaware (July 14, 2017) – A woman was taken to hospital after a car versus a construction truck accident in near Newark High school on Thursday afternoon, according to Newark Police.
The injury incident occurred on July 13, at the intersection of Library Avenue and E. Delaware.
Crews arrived at the crash site and located two cars involving a black sedan and a construction truck pulling a trailer.
According to the report, crews from Aetna found one female from the sedan injured. The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening injuries.
The impact of the accident caused the construction crew’s car to swirl before stopping near a light pole.
The two cars were towed to heavy damage. The intersection was closed for Newark Police to examine the crash.
The incident is still under investigation to determine cause and liabilities.
