Ronald Lutrell Dies in Motorcycle Versus Car Accident near Raceway Liquors
Dover, Delaware (August 1, 2017) – 59-year-old Ronald Rutrell of Dover has been identified as the victim in the fatal crash involving a pedestrian on Friday evening, according to the Dover Police Department.
The fatal accident took place at about 8:38 p.m. July 28, on N. DuPont Highway from the east side of the roadway from the area of Raceway Liquors also known as 899 N. DuPont Highway.
Lutrell crossed the northbound and southbound lanes of N.DuPont Highway from the east side of the roadway and ran directly in front of a 2008 Toyota Sienna minivan in the center lane. Lutrell was hit by the car causing fatal injuries.
The driver who hit Lutrell will not be charged in the crash according to Dover Police Department.
The crash remained under an investigation by the Dover Police Department Collision Reconstruction Team.
