Christiana Road Auto-Pedestrian Crash Seriously Injures Man
New Castle, DE (August 22, 2017) – The Delaware State Police have initiated an investigation into the motor vehicle that crashed into a male pedestrian on westbound DE 273 (Christiana Road) Tuesday morning.
According to the initial investigation, the collision took place around 10:29 a.m. August 22 east of Airport Road. The motorcyclist crashed his vehicle into a pedestrian.
As a result of the impact of the crash, both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian sustained injuries. The pedestrian, however, sustained serious injuries. Both men have been transferred to the Christiana Hospital.
The two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane of Christiana Road were closed off to traffic as an investigation was conducted by authorities.
