One Injured in Scooter Versus Vehicle Crash in Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware (July 29, 2017) – A serious crash between a car and a scooter blocked part of Del. 1 in Rehoboth Beach leaving one person seriously injured on Saturday morning, as per state police.
The accident took place at about 10:55 a.m. on Coastal Highway in the area of Robinsons Drive in the “Forgotten Mile” north of Dewey Beach.
The scooter operator was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, according to Delaware State Police.
The right lane of Del.1 northbound and the shoulder was closed at Robinsons Drive, and the Del. 1 southbound turn lane onto Robinsons Drive.
Limited information regarding the cause of the crash was available at the time of the report.
The identity and the condition of the victim were not immediately released.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
