Newark, Del: 1 Dead in Motorcycle, Car Crash at Old Baltimore Pike and Albe Drive
Newark, Delaware (July 4, 2017) – A motorcyclist died Saturday, June 24, when a motorcycle collided with a car collided at an intersection in Newark, Delaware, police said.
The incident took place at about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Old Baltimore Pike and Albe Drive, the police report said.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a car was attempting to make a left-hand turn when it was hit by a motorcycle.
The rider was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the rider was not immediately available.
The woman driving the car was transported to Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
