31-Year-Old Graham Woman Killed in Head-On Crash in Newcastle
Newcastle, DE (August 23, 2017) – Kelsi Messick, 31, from Graham, was killed in a head-on collision on U.S. 380 West on August 20, Sunday evening.
The report shows that the incident occurred when a red Ford F-150 pickup crashed head-first into the passenger side of Messick’s parked vehicle on U.S. 380 West, near Broadway Avenue. The pickup was being driven by Michael Eversole, from Newcastle.
The crash sent Messick’s vehicle into the parked car right beside it. Messick was crushed inside her vehicle and was declared dead at the scene.
Initially, the officials believed that the pickup truck blew its right-front tire after the crash. But after looking into the possibility, officers ruled out the idea.
The accident is still being investigated at this time.
We send out our condolences to the family of the deceased.
