Donte Bryson, 25, Hit and Killed while Fleeing Security Guards  in Gloucester

Gloucester, PA (July 18, 2017) – A male pedestrian was struck by a car and killed on Friday afternoon in Gloucester Township, according to police.

The incident occurred before 3 p.m. July 15, on southbound lanes of Route 42.

According to the report, Donte Bryson, 25, of Sicklerville, was running from security guards at a nearby shopping complex when he was hit by a black Chevy Blazer.

Police mentioned that Donte Bryson, 25, of Sicklerville ran onto the Route 42’s lanes and was hit by the northbound vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead later.

Bryson was reportedly trying to flee Gloucester Premium Outlets after being suspected of shoplifting by a security guard.

The Chevy driver remained at the crash site and was cooperating with the authorities.

The crash is still under investigation to determine cause and liabilities.
