David A. East Killed in Chambersburg Motorcycle Collision
Chambersburg, Pennsylvania (July 27, 2017) – A Chambersburg man was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon when his motorcycle crashed into a van in St. Thomas Township, a local news source reported.
The crash occurred at an unknown time Tuesday afternoon, July 25 on Apple Way.
David A. East, 51, was severely injured when his eastbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with a westbound Ford E-250 van. The van was attempting to make a left turn onto Diehls Woods Road when the crash occurred.
East was severely injured and was rushed to WellSpan York Hospital for treatment. The driver of the van, Richard W. Sommerville, 64, of New Cumberland was not injured.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
