4 Hurt in New Castle Route 273 3-Vehicle Crash
New Castle, Delaware (September 6, 2017) – Four people were injured in a traffic accident involving a DART bus on Route 273 (Christiana Road) on Wednesday morning in New Castle, Delaware.
The accident was reported at about 7:30 a.m. September 6, on the eastbound lanes of the highway at Edinburgh Drive.
The bus was carrying 20 passengers when it was rear-ended by a pickup truck. The pickup truck was then struck by a third vehicle.
Two passengers on board the bus, the bus driver and the driver of the pickup truck were injured in the crash.
The severity of the injuries could not be immediately established.
The eastbound lanes of the highway were closed as Delaware State police investigated the incident.
