Two Hospitalized in Middletown 2-Car Collision at DuPont Parkway and South Main Street
2 Seriously Injured in 2-Car Crash at DuPont Parkway and South Main Street in Middletown
Middletown, Delaware (July 20, 2017) – Two people were transported to the hospital with serious injuries after they were involved in a two-vehicle accident in Middletown, as reported by a local news source article.
The crash was reported at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 18 at the intersection of DuPont Parkway and South Main Street.
New Castle County Paramedics, Odessa and Port Penn Volunteer Fire Companies and Delaware State Police Aviation Section responded to the scene of the accident.
Two patients were found at the scene with severe injuries. The first patient, a 19-year-old male was being treated by emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) from Odessa Fire Company. He had sustained injuries to the head and back. He was transported to the hospital via Odessa Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County paramedics. The second patient, a 24-year-old female was being treated by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient sustained injuries to the head, arm, and shoulder. She was transported to the hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter accompanied by Delaware State Police paramedics. Both patients were classified under serious conditions.
The manner of the collision was not explained.
