1 Hospitalized in Pickup Versus Tractor Trailer Accident in Dover

Dover, Delaware (August 24, 2017) – A pickup truck with a driver was found under a tractor-trailer in Kent County on Sunday night, according to Dover firefighters.
The incident was reported on Sunday night of August 20, on Hazeletville Road in Dover.
Crews had to lift the trailer before they could get to the driver. They also used a winch to pull the pickup from under the trailer.
The victim was airlifted to Christiana Medical Center in Newark.
Limited information about the cause of the crash and the condition of the victim was available.
The identity of the deceased had not yet been released pending family notification.
The crash remained under an active investigation by police.
